About Me:
A professional hair stylist since 1990, Cheryl has mastered her skills in hair extensions, facial waxing, formal styling, precision cutting, make up application and instruction. Passionate about her career and her community, she has served and contributed to the community for over 25 years. Her personality is down to earth, friendly, professional, articulate, and passionate. She’s a true leader, a skilled colorist, and somewhat of a perfectionist! Cheryl has trained each of her team members to be master stylists in an extensive 9-12 month training program. In 1989 graduated from Hair Professionals in Wheaton, Illinois after having worked in a Bolingbrook salon for 6 years, she moved to an upscale Naperville hair salon to develop her talent and passion for hair color. Independent minded, she opened her own salon in 2000. She is also a Reiki Practitioner (energy healer) and enjoys healing the hair as well as the person.

At Healing Hair, we use Cinderella Hair Extensions and Halo Couture which are safely applied without the use of glue or heat and are made of 100% Remi Human Hair. They’re great for adding length, fullness, volume, texture, color, or fashion expression. There are many colors to choose from, including balayage colors, rooted and custom colors (to match your own color) are available.
We use tape, links, keratin bonds, and DIY clip-in techniques that provide us the ability to create a look for you that is truly your own. With tape and link adjustments, removal is easy, and your hair extensions can be reused for up to approximately one year.
We also have available for purchase, partial wiglets & hair wefts to add fullness to the top of the hair. We can set up a consultation for sizing and we will cut & style them to fit your existing hair style.

Throughout the years, traditional permanent hair colors contained large amounts of ammonia and other chemical additives. The result of these ingredients in the hair color meant fast results but was damaging to the hair and during processing time created unpleasant odors. Ammonia is also a large factor in why hair color fades. Our colors don’t fade like the traditional colors; providing that the client is using our products is not abusing the hair by swimming, shampooing in poor water, or doing anything else to compromise the hair’s structural integrity.
Organic Color Systems Semi-Permanent Hair Coloring:

100% PPD, PTD and ammonia free
PPD also known as Para-Phenylenediamine and PTD or Paratoluenediamine are aniline dyes that are commonly used in hair color pigments and are derived from petroleum products. In large concentrations they have been known to cause allergic reactions in some people that can result is skin, eye and bronchial irritations. This allergy can prevent people from getting their hair colored. The Organic Color Systems No Limits range contains neither of these dyes and is a welcome alternative to traditional hair color. No Limits is also formulated without ammonia and also includes Soil Association certified organic ingredients. These products also contain no animal products, have not been tested on animals and have even been certified “Cruelty Free” by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.
Organic Color Systems Permanent Hair Coloring:

Low in PPD’s and other chemicals
Although the amount of PPD in Organic Color Systems is low enough to advertise the hair color as “PPD Free”, we feel that doing so would be disingenuous. Please note that Organic Color System’s permanent, darker hair colors does contain less than 1% PPD’s regardless of what they may advertise, but many have a low enough percentage to enable them to legally advertise as “PPD Free”. Upon request, we will administer a patch test especially for clients that give any indication of allergic reactions to PPD’s before applying any hair color. The amount of PPD used in this product is the lowest in the industry. No MEA, Resorcinol, ammonia or PTD is used in this product line. Why a small amount of PPD is necessary: Eliminating ammonia allows us to use the lowest percentage of PPD’s possible while still achieving a permanent result. Ammoniated color requires high loads of PPD’s and require a lot more pigment – otherwise it would all wash out at the shampoo bowl.
